Dr Sharon Lierse has been a keynote presenter in Australia, Europe and Asia and has been an invited guest speaker at the Univeristy of Miami in Florida. In 2021, she gave a keynote online during the COVID-19 Pandemic on Creativity in Crisis. When lecturing in Malaysia, she was guest speaker for a Perdana Lecture at Universiti Tecknologi Malaysia on ‘Rethinking National Innovation and Creativity in a Changing Global Economy and keynote speaker at the International Music Webinar Series, organised in Mexico and broadcast around the world.
She has presented research papers in every state of Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States of America and Canada. Presentations of note include: ‘Reflective Conservatoire’ Conferences at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where she was twice the Recipient of the Sempre Award; Leading Music Education Conference in London, Ontario; Assessment in Music Education in Bremen, Germany; and the International Society for Music Education conferences in Malaysia, Italy, Greece, China and Brazil.
